Phlebotomy National Certification Course

This course is part of the Medical Assistant AS program, and after this class, 7 credit hours will be applied to the students. Graduate as Medical Assistant may applied for the National Certification examination once this class is done.

Requirements

The Phlebotomy class at Medical Assistant in Miami requires a previous class of 30 hours of healthcare worker basics as a previous requirement and 90 clock hours of phlebotomy. ​



Phlebotomy Course General requirements are:

– HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE, OR POSSESS A GED (OR EQUIVALENT).

– 20 HOURS OF PRACTICAL (CLINICAL) TRAINING.

– SUPERVISED PROOF OF 50 VENIPUNCTURES AND 10 SKIN PUNCTURES.

– OBTAIN A SATISFACTORY EVALUATION AT THE END OF THE COURSE

– (PASS WRITTEN EXAM).

Estheticians need a phlebotomy certification to collect and processing a blood sample to apply a platelet-rich plasma procedure as part of the facial skin rejuvenation treatment. Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School is offering for those who are already phlebotomist and want to improve their knowledge and skill as phlebotomist to train and teaching how to prepare and apply, according to esthetician scope, the PRP and PRF treatment.
