This course is designed for those estheticians would desire to work in the use of light in the skin rejuvenation or those estheticians that already are working with IPL units without attending an approved course. Most of the training will be concentrated on knowledge and understanding the basic physic of IPL, chromophore interaction, and treatment protocols for photo aging signs. The use and combination of IPL parameters, safe operation and adjust the light pulse for photorejuvenation on different skin types are included in this training course.
The Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is widely used by many beauticians in facial rejuvenation treatments, and although many have received training from the company that sold them the equipment, it requires a deeper knowledge not only for the equipment but about of the interaction of light in the skin, its relation with the chromophores and with the signs of aging that the client presents. The knowledge of the theory related to the IPL is crucial to obtain satisfactory results and to diminish the risks of complications by the treatment. Developing a successful consultation and determining the necessary parameters according to the type of skin and signs of aging of the client is crucial to obtain favorable results. The treatment protocol must be unique for each client according to the type of equipment with which the professional counts and the skin conditions of each client.
Course Requirements: If you are working in the State of Florida both active Facial Specialist (or related) license and Electrologist are required. Electrologist and nursing with active license may take this course. Participants from other States or countries should review current regulations on IPL and light based treatment in their respective places in order to comply with the currents regulations and laws.
